INSITUTE ENDOWMENTS PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The foundation can institute endowments in Institutes/Universities/Associations/Societies in India for honoring scientists/research scholars or provide financial assistance to needy persons for education
The motto of the foundation has been “Promoting Science and Green Environment” . The objects of the Trust shall be: (a) To institute and present awards for Indian scientists in the field of agriculture/toxicology /pharmaceutical/environmental sciences: (b) To present Educational Excellence Awards in agriculture/ toxicology /pharmaceutical/ environmental sciences to Eminent professionals, Professors, Scientists and Scholars in the above fields in recognition of their contributions annually during a National Conference: (c) To conduct training programmes in the fields of toxicology, agricultural sciences, Good Laboratory practices (GLP), etc.; (d) To provide Consultancy in GLP; (e) Establish and operate an institute under the aegis of the foundation “David Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences “ or named suitably; (f) To publish a journal/books/and booklets, newsletter and periodicals for subserving the objects of the trust; (g)To do all acts, or things necessary, incidental or conducive for the attainment of any of the above objects; (h)To promote and encourage teaching, research and training in the field of agriculture/toxicology and to provide scholarship and grants for advancment of the same
The motto of the foundation is “Promoting Science and Green Environment” with main objectives of the trust being to honor Indian scientists and research scholars in the fields of agriculture/toxicology/pharmaceutical/environmental sciences in a scientific conference organized by the foundation and to promote and encourage teaching, research and training in the fields of agriculture/toxicology, etc. and to provide scholarship and institute endowments for advancment of the same. Provide assistance in the publication of books by lending the support of Namrutha Publications, a publication house of the Managing Trustee
The foundation welcomes donations for strengthening the corpus fund.

Play a pivotal role in conservation of biodiversity as in Andaman Nicobar Islands.
Honor persons who have become entrepreneurs in their career in fields such as floriculture, contract research organization, pesticides marketing and biopesticides R & D, manufacture and marketing.
Provide financial assistance to needy students pursuing school education.
Organize conferences, workshops, seminars in collaboration with reputed universities or institutes, wherever possible. Proposals are welcome.
Ms. Namrutha V. David is 30 year old entrepreneur having her business in photography and video and marketing of furniture. She is the Managing Trustee of Dr. B. Vasantharaj Foundation.
Dr. B. Vasantharaj David, an eminent entomologist specialized in Crop Protection, Taxonomy of whiteflies, Toxicology and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). He has more than six decades of experience in research, teaching and extension.
Mrs. Prathyusha Nettam, completed her BSc (Biotechnology) and MSc (Biochemistry) in Sri Venkatewara University, Tirupathi. She is expert is preclinical toxicology screening, cellular and molecular biological assays. Currently she is working CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysuru, as research scientist. She has great passion on nutritive science and safety pharmacology.
Mohammed Halal, holds M. Sc. In Biochemistry and has vast experience in heading Laboratory Animal Facility/ Vivarium and GLP Quality Assurance Units (QAU) at many reputed GLP certified Contract Research Organizations (CROs) like Jai Research Foundation, Orchid Pharma, SA-Ford, Dabur Research Foundation, International Institute of Biotechnology & Toxicology and Krish Biotech Research Pvt. Ltd. He is currently associated with Animal Care Systems, USA as Director, Business Development, India. Also Founder Director of Trichinopoly.i (https://trichinopolydotin.com) a preclinical consultancy firm.
Served as the Head of that Department and Principal & Secretary of Madras Christian College (MCC)(2009-2020). He is currently the Pro Vice Chancellor, Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, a Deemed to be University, Chennai.He has served as a Member Coordinator, NAAC Peer team.

Dr. B. Vasantharaj David, born on 17th November 1935, at Insein (Myanmar) has 60 years experience in the field of crop protection and toxicology. He obtained M.Sc.(Ag.) degree in agricultural entomology and then Ph.D. from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. He was awarded the degree of Doctor of Science by the University of Madras for his contributions on the taxonomy of the Aleyrodidae of India, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. He has reported so far 250 new species of whiteflies. He has taught agricultural entomology in the Agricultural College & Research Institute, Coimbatore and has served with Tata Fison Industries Ltd. as Development Officer at Coimbatore, Ciba Agrochemical Research Centre, Kayarambedu (Tamil Nadu) as Entomologist, Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, Chennai as Research Officer, Coromandel Indag Products India Ltd. as Director (Development), and Rhone Poulenc Agrochemicals India Ltd. as Executive Director (Development). As Director he has been responsible for the development of two institutes viz., the Fredrick Institute of Plant Protection & Toxicology (presently IIBAT), Padappai (Tamil Nadu) and the Jai Research Foundation, Valvada (Gujarat), to raise to international stature, the latter receiving GLP compliance certification from the Government of the Netherlands. He was President, Sun Agro Biotech Research Centre, Chennai and Executive Director, Sun Agro Biosystem Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. He was Head, Centre for Toxicology and Developmental Research, Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai, India, and obtained GLP compliance certification. GLP Consultant to Rotam Research Laboratory, Kunshan, near Shanghai, China from 2005 – 2017 and Chairman, Research and Academic Board, International Institute of Biotechnology & Toxicology (IIBAT), Padappai 601301, Tamil Nadu, India from November 2013 to August 2020.
He has guided 11 students for Ph.D. degree and 16 for M.Phil. He has been a Honorary Professor of Entomology with the Madras Christian College, Chennai. He has to his credit 357 research papers and authored/co-authored/edited number of books notably General and Applied Entomology and Elements of Economic Entomology.
He has visited various countries such as Japan, United States of America, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, France, Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Sri Lanka, Germany, Mexico, Switzerland, Canada, China, Belgium, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand in connection with his official duties and presentation of papers in international conferences. Dr. David is Fellow of: the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Royal Entomological Society London, the Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare, the Entomological Society of India, the Plant Protection Association of India, the Entomology Academy of India, the Society for Biocontrol Advancement, the Applied Zoologists Research Association, the National Academy of Biological Sciences, the Association for Advancement of Pest Management in Horticultural Ecosystem, the Society of Plant Protection Sciences, the Gujarat Science Academy, and the Madras Science Foundation.
Recipient of Dr. K. C. Mehta Memorial Award for outstanding contributions in Plant Protection by the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences; “Distinguished Scientist Lifetime Achievement Award in Toxicology” of Society of Toxicology, India; Late Shri Gyan Prakash Memorial Award of the Society of Plant Protection Sciences; Pearl Foundation Outstanding Research Award in Agricultural Sciences 2016; NABS Leadership Award 2016; Life time Achievement Award in Agriculture and Allied Sciences 2016 by the Samagra Vikas Welfare Society, Lucknow; the Friendship Forum of India, New Delhi presented Bharat Excellence Award, Leading Educationist of India Award and Global Arch of Excellence Award on 24th February 2019. Recipient of “Outstanding Plant Protection Scientist” Award at the International Plant Protection Congress (IPPC – 2019) held at Hyderabad on 13th November 2019. The Global Economic Progress and Research Association, New Delhi conferred Bharat Ratna Mother Teresa Gold Medal Award for his outstanding individual achievement in Agricultural Sciences and Taxonomy and Toxicology on 21st December 2019 at Chennai.
